Why The ParentPreneur Foundation Is Paying For Therapy For Black People

Other than being a dad to my seven-year-old twins, this is the most consequential thing I have done in my life. The ParentPreneur Foundation is going to pay for four therapy sessions for ten members of our community.

For too long, mental health has been stigmatized in the Black community. This is crazy.

According to Columbia University, Black people are 20% more likely to have mental health issues than white people. And with everything going on with Covid, virtual schooling, and the racial trauma we experience watching Black people get gunned down by the police, I know things are tough for many of us right now.

Then there's the additional issue of us being parents + entrepreneurs, that's a unique situation most people simply can't relate to.

And don't get me started on epigenetics if all that's true.  I mean, 400 years of trauma bottled up in Black people's DNA? Whew chile!

I can't.

So, we will do our part to help ten people now and will do more as we raise money for the foundation. If empowering Black ParentPreneurs matters to you, please make a tax-deductible donation.

Lesss go!
